Fourth of July in St. Louis

The Fourth of July is the mid-point of the summer. The first half of summer is spent adjusting to the extra time, days get longer, and there is a feeling of endless available time, but after the fourth, there is an ending point in site. The sun gradually sets earlier, schools start sending out teacher assignments, and the tension of full schedules and endless todo lists starts to creep in.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. The Fourth hasn’t happened yet. We still have a few days to celebrate our most patriotic holiday and biggest summer celebration. Below is a list of some of the best ways to spend the tipping point of summer in St. Louis.

Enjoy a firework show in your own back yard! Missouri is a pro-firework state. Which means they allow you to personally shoot off all types of fireworks. St. Louis City and County do prohibit the sale, purchase, and use of fireworks without a permit but everywhere else in the greater St. Louis area you are free to celebrate with all the fireworks your heart desires. For a complete list of details regarding city and county regulations, check out the  KSDK website.  And if you are in the north side of the St. Louis area go to Platinum Dragon Fireworks in St. Charles for the best selection and deals. Message me before you go to get an additional 10% off your entire purchase.

If you are seeking a professional firework display for the Fourth check out the list below:

St. Charles Riverfront, fireworks at 9:30pm

Wentzville Progress Park, fireworks at 9:30pm

Fair St. Louis at the Gateway Arch

Webster Grover Memorial Park, fireworks at 9:45pm

Manchester Schroeder Park, fireworks after dark

Wherever and however you celebrate, I hope you spend the holiday with friends and family enjoying yourself!
